Gentofte Lake
No calendar is complete without a picture of our lake. The yellow house is the old hosiery factory established in 1795 by Scotsman Alexander Mitchell. He introduced hosiery made with linen, and it quickly because so popular that he employed 20 weavers in the tiny house. He later built a bleaching house and accommodation. The buildings can still be seen on the Mitchellstræde between Gentoftegade and the lake.
