Charlottenlund Fort is part of the old defence of Copenhagen. That system is, of course, not in use these days, but there are numerous forts and defence systems visible, and they are often part of recreational areas.

The fort is on the beach, just a little north of us. The beach is nice, and we often go there. There is a nice restaurant on top of the fort, and the centre area is used as a camping area.

I remember the canons from my childhood, and they are always good for an entertaining outing with the grandchildren.
