Jægersborg Water Tower

Yes I know. I am into water towers. Last year I had a picture of a somewhat more picturesque water tower. However, it is not so visible in Gentofte any longer. This one is, however. It is placed at one of the “highest hills” in Gentofte. The foundation is 32 meters above sea level, and the water above at 77 meters above sea level. The water pressure from this height makes it possible to supply even the most remote parts of Gentofte with a fine pressure and with clean water from drilled wells. No chemical treatment is needed.

The lower levels were previously administrative offices of the water works but are now converted into student accommodation. The tower is visible from a large part of Gentofte.
